a musical monodrama

Daughter of God

Daughter of God is a musical monodrama for mixed ensemble and one singer that explores how morality is taught and questioned, both in the context of large scale religious influence, as well as the context of artificial intelligence and the creation and imitation of consciousness.

A common topic of conversation around AI is whether it lacks the morality that humans have instinctively. The goal with this piece is to ask the question: is it humanity that is actually more inhuman than our technological creations? How are reason, logic, and morals developed and taught?
